A View from the Mountain

JULY 2010

Greetings from the mountain.  Finally, summer is upon us and we are experiencing the weather we dreamed about all winter.  I hope that you have the opportunity to enjoy it before it all too quickly drifts away.  Things are moving at a rather relaxed pace at the Center and yet a lot of plans are coming together for the fall. Six of us went up the mountain to observe the Summer Solstice and all walked away with very positive feelings.

WILDFLOWER SEEDS WANTED:  We recently had the brush cut back on the main trail and the plan is to clear the view in August.  Finally we are going to have it opened into a field for both wildlife and humans.  It will be planted to clover for the deer and blueberries will still be encouraged in one corner.  We would love to see the field full of wildflowers, especially lupine.  If you have the opportunity to collect lupine or other wildflower seeds that you would like to share, we would love to include them when the field is seeded.  Any size contribution will be greatly appreciated, not only now but as the blooms open in the future.

Megan Crawford’s Monday night classes are taking a break during the summer, along with movie nights and the Christinas' healing and meditation nights.   Megan and I still plan to do some gallery readings and will post the dates when they are determined.

The hypnosis certification class is an outstanding one, and if you would like to have a free hypnosis session by a student on a Friday night, just let me know and we will schedule you in.

The Wednesday night metaphysical discussion group continues year round.

Sandy is still looking for 30 people that would be interested in participating in reading the book, “Barn Dance” by James Twyman.  Those taking part will have the opportunity to come together and meet with the author live over the Internet.  The books are supplied for the cost of the shipping.  We are fortunate to be able to take part in this special event.  Let me know if you would like to be included.

Luigi Bartolomeo's Urantia book study group now meets every other Monday evening from 7:00-9:00 at 34 Washington St. in Conway.  Their next session is the 12th of July.  All are welcome, and books can be provided to those who don't have one.  You may email him for more information: author.architect@gmail.com.

Martha Douglass is seeing private clients at the Center on weekends.  You can reach her at 603-286-8577 during the workweek or email her at mcdouglass@myfairpoint.net.

Megan has made arrangements for Ryan Wallace, who started his spiritual journey under the tutelage of his mother at age seven, to be at the Center Saturday July 10th.  He is going to offer a class “Introduction to Santeria” from 12-4 p.m. which will include an overview of Palmistry/Tarot and their connection to Santeria.  The cost of the class is $20.  Ryan also has openings for private readings before and after the class at 8, 9, 10, a.m. and 5 p.m.  The cost of the readings is $40.  Reservations for both are needed.
