A VIEW FROM THE MOUNTAIN
DECEMBER 2025
The first day of Meteorological Winter, December 1, brought an abrupt change. The ground is white, and more snow is expected this first week. Work on the cabin and grounds may have to wait until access becomes available again. In the meantime, the Hypnosis Glade ski trails have been cleared of debris, and soon the parking lot will be filled with backcountry adventurers. This year the local Timberland Store provided over 20 volunteers to help the Granite Back Country Alliance team prepare the land.
Our sister non-profit, The White Mountain Center for Creative Development, is making a transition to the next generation. My daughter Brenda is now the President, and Lori Vallante is the new Executive Director. There is a lot of new energy on the board balanced by long-standing members that are coming up with a calendar of programs for the new year.
December will see limited events at the Center due to the holidays. There will be no scheduled activities in the last two weeks of the month. However, here is what is going to happen:
Wednesdays, December 3, 10, and 17, 7-9 pm – Metaphysical Discussion Group
Monday, December 8, 6:45 pm – Reiki Share. If you are looking to relax, recharge and connect with like-minded individuals, this is a warm and welcoming space for you to give and receive Reiki energy in a supportive group setting. This gathering is open to all. RSVPs suggested but not required; contact Brenda [email protected]. (She is also available for Reiki Appointments.)
Monday, December 15, 7 pm – an evening of Meditation with Lori.
I continue to alternate Fridays and Saturdays at the Oak Street Bistro in Alfred Maine from 6-9 pm with the Lance MacLean Duo. And, of course, I am also available for Hypnosis Appointments, and Lori is available for Hypnosis Appointments as well. Her contact is [email protected].
